Apr 5, 2007, New York City Marc & Irina Klionsky got together with Daniel Klionsky and his family for the first time gettogether at Marc's apartment/art studio in SOHO district of Manhattan.
During the course of delicious dinner prepared by Irina, the Klionskys discussed the family history and interesting facts from Marc's life in Russia.

Marc Klionsky , New York : Artist, born in Minsk in 1927, is a grandson of Mendel Klionsky of Borisov.
His exceptional talent and thorough technical training led to a distinguished art career in the Soviet Union, but his success did not allay his desire to experience the self-determination only a democracy could provide.
Together with his family, Marc emigrated to the United States in 1974, and cultivated elements of lyricism, surrealism, and representation never seen in his previous paintings.
Daniel Klionsky San Francisco : is the webmaster of this site and great-grandson of Girsha Klionsky of Borisov.
Mendel Klionsky, Marc's grandfather, and Girsha Klionsky, Daniel's great-grandfather were the 1st cousins and both lived in Borisov.
